Bio
Aubrey Behrens is an interdisciplinary artist from Tucson, Arizona. Rooted in ecological, historical, and regionally driven research, she utilizes plant and animal imagery in both sculpture and illustration to draw parallels between environmental change and the forces that shape cultural identity and human connection. For Aubrey, the natural world is a reflection where personal and collective stories intersect, and the health of a place can be read through the fate of its most vulnerable inhabitants. She recently received her Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona, and is spending time traveling through Hawai’i on her way to Portugal looking for a new place to land.
